Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will be expected to produce detailed financial models, work with large data sets, and derive conclusions from their analysis. In addition, the analyst will provide valuable insights about Aerwave’s financial performance to internal and external stakeholders. A successful Financial Analyst will coordinate with all departments to gather and present up-to-date financial analysis across the business as well as establishing, improving, and scaling the company’s financial operations. This role will work closely with the VP and the rest of the leadership team on activities like Mergers and Acquisitions, Debt Financing, and Capital Fundraising.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains, updates, and revises scenarios in financial models using a combination of corporate and project-level data and assumptions.
- Gains understanding and models complex structured finance transactions.
- Utilizes large data sets to provide important details and insights about the business.
- Works across multiple departments to gather information about the performance of our assets.
- Presents analysis to financing partners as well as internal leaders across the Company.
- Work closely with the CEO and act as a key interface for the Companies outside Investors. Also responsible for leading the charge in obtaining additional private equity or venture capital partners.
- Assist in the process of building board decks for quarterly presentations to the Board of Directors.
- Participate in Board Meetings and in conjunction with the C-Suite carry out all Board directives.
- Participation in the development of the monthly actuals and forecast variance analyses which are used to complete the monthly forecast package.
- Preparing routine monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and special ad hoc reports for senior and regional management as requested, serving as liaison between the business and corporate FP&A as necessary.
- Assist in the process of working through business strategies, initiatives, and projects into effective financial modeling.
- Analyze internal financial statements, monitor, build budgets, and document variances.
- Monitor and report the costs of fixed assets compared to budget and other estimates.
- Analyze trends and variances in revenues, costs, and earnings for all lines of business.
- Develop data visualizations using excel and/or other tools and share insights with stakeholders.
- Build and maintain various financial models and standard templates for distribution within the department and for use by internal clients during the deal modeling stages, ensuring quality, accuracy, and a focused analytic review.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- 3+ years of applicable work experience in finance position.
- Extensive experience with Financial modeling, Planning, Forecasting, Data analysis, Management, and Visualization.
- Ideally have experience with Workday for Financials and Human Capital Management.
- Exposure to working with executive leadership.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- A proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented approach, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Ability to design and manage data visualization tools, such as Power BI.
- Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and financial systems.
